It's the perfect base camp for BRG — the Tail of the Dragon is just a 20-minute drive, the Cherohala Skyway is under an hour, and the Blue Ridge Parkway is right up the mountain.
With cabins, lodge rooms, and camping options spread across the property, plus pools, a marina, restaurants, and endless outdoor activities, Fontana has everything you need for a week of cars, friends, and mountains.

Good to Know
- ◆Cell service is limited — AT&T works best, Verizon is spotty. Embrace the disconnect.
- ◆Wi-Fi is available in the lodge and common areas. Some cabins have it too.
- ◆Gas up in Robbinsville (15 min) before heading to the Dragon — no stations on US-129.
- ◆Groceries — Ingles in Robbinsville or stock up before you arrive. The general store has basics.
